Aurora is the city in Colorado. The city was founded in the 1880s, originally bore the name of Fletcher in honor of Denver businessman, Donald Fletcher. In 1907, the residents decided to rename the city Aurora. Under this name, the city was incorporated in 1929. The city began to grow slowly in the shadow of Denver, becoming the fastest growing city in the late 1970s-early 1980s. Since the beginning of the XX century, the military presence started noticeably growing.
