The newly renovated Bed-Stuy House is located — you guessed it — in the heart of the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood in Brooklyn. Bed-Stuy is rich in history, culture and community, and you’ll have the opportunity to get to know people from every corner of the world, whether you’re hanging out with your coliving housemates or visiting the corner bodega. Bed-Stuy is also home to a strong community of New Yorkers and a diverse range of restaurants and other local businesses, making it a blast to get to know and love. The main draw: Every bedroom at the Bed-Stuy house has a private en-suite bathroom — so you’ll literally never have to wait. Perfect for you if: You want a spacious bedroom with plenty of room to relax in privacy when you need a break from the hustle and bustle of New York living. Our suggestion: Walk just a couple blocks west and find yourself in Herbert Von King Park, a vibrant community green space that’ll make you feel right at home. We worked with interior designers to make the house comfortable for all of our members in any room of the house. For the furniture we used only the best suppliers and materials, from real wooden surfaces to sleek countertops. We’ve thought of all the little things you need to feel right at home upon arrival. All of the bedrooms in the Bed-Stuy House are private and feature en-suite bathrooms and full-sized beds, while most have desks and closets. Bedding is available for an additional fee. One of our favorite parts of the Bed-Stuy House? The bedrooms are gigantic compared to most New York City apartments, and some even include fireplaces for the ultimate cozy vibe. Amenities: full-size memory-foam mattresses, shelving, hooks and closets/organizational tools. The common living rooms in each unit of the Bed-Stuy House are where members can go to relax, work and hang out! One unit includes a spacious private lounge equipped with everything from couches to games to a large flat-screen TV. Security: 24/7 security in common areas Google Chromecast. In these units, the kitchen and dining room are the first rooms you enter, located on the bottom floor of each unit. These open spaces are used for cooking up dinner with friends and relaxing in the evening over a glass of wine. Amenities include electric stoves, stainless-steel fridges, microwaves, large sinks, coffee makers, blenders, plenty of cabinets, cookware, tableware, cutting boards and anything else you would need in a kitchen. Security: 24/7 security in all common areas. Every unit in the Bed-Stuy House is equipped with enough shared bathrooms that you can be sure you’ll never have to wait. Also included: toilet paper, hand soap and small garbage bags, which will never be empty! The building also has a washer and dryer, so you can do all your laundry in the comfort of your own home.
