It takes up the entire floor of an historic Civil War house (circa early 1860's), a three-story brick home, situated on the last block of Green Street between 23rd and 24th Streets. The tree-lined block is absolutely lovely; there are large, old and stately homes with deep front garden lawns. The block is surrounded by public buildings with magnificent architecture and of historic significance. The area offers a perfect mix of green and urban living. The 2-bedroom apartment takes up the entire third floor (approximately 850 ft2), of this historic home, with a wonderful view of the city skyline. Throughout the apartment are the original architectural features of this grand home. Throughout the apartment are the original hardwood floors. The heating system is an old-fashioned hot-water radiator fueled by gas, which is the most energy-efficient and comfortable heating system. When one enters the apartment, the first area they see is a lovely, sunny alcove featuring a garden view. There is a large bright, sunny living room/bedroom, a second bedroom and an additional room that can be used as an ample den/office. There is a sunny and spacious kitchen/dining area with three windows. Included are refrigerator, stove/oven, garbage disposal and microwave. The bathroom has a combination tub and shower. There are numerous dry cleaners very close by. For pharmacies, one can go to CVS (2 blocks) or the Philadelphia Pharmacy (2 blocks). Banks include Wells Fargo (2 blocks) and Polonia Bank (2 blocks). Many doctors and health practitioners are available in the immediate area, as well as other professional offices. There is a travel agency, florist, used book store, gas/service station, The Philadelphia Sports Club, Wawa, as well as other retail and service shops. There are at least two dozen restaurants, with diverse cuisines, within a short walk.
