Bannockburn Lodge is one of 2 homestay properties on the same site. It is fully equipped with a 3D Smart TV and Blu-ray player to watch your favourite movies during your stay with us. There is free WiFi and Foxtel channels. At the back we have a secure enclosed yard with a kennel in case you need to go out and leave your dog for a short time which leads into the laundry area. Through the french doors from the kitchen there is a private courtyard with water fountain and outdoor seating with a BBQ. For the children we have a cupboard full of toys, high chair, porta cot, car seats and a stroller in case you don't want to bring your own. The off street parking is large enough for a caravan and car and leads to your own private entrance to the lodge off Stirling Street. The lodge is within walking distance to the CBD, cafes and Queen's park. The Mother's Memorial and rose gardens are just across the road. You will have full view of the parades during the Carnival of Flowers and Anzac Day. You can book the Lodge or the Cottage or the whole complex for larger groups which can be up to 15 people. At Bannockburn Lodge we are focused on providing our guests with the highest levels of customer satisfaction – we will do everything we can to meet your expectations. We named our Lodge Bannockburn because of the surrounding street names, Stirling Street, (Battle at Stirling Bridge where William Wallace defeated the English and so started the fight to free Scotland. Bruce Street (Robert Bruce who won against the English army at Bannockburn) and Burns Street, (Robert Burns, famous Scottish poet). Dogs are welcome, too. Just let us know at the time of booking to arrange this. We have a small kennel for outdoors, pet beds, blankets, bowls and even a lead for a walk in the park. Bannockburn Lodge has a regular pet grooming service which you can book during your stay. There is an off-leash section in Queen's Park just across the road. We have toys and teddies for the little ones plus board games and cards for the grownups. There is plenty to do in Toowoomba, beautiful parks and gardens, local historical railway at Springbluff, local markets, antique stores and a selection of top restaurants and cafes all along "EAT Street" which is within walking distance. Milne Bay Aquatic Centre, Toowoomba Library, Cobb & Co Museum and the recently expanded Grand Central Shopping Centre are all within walking distance. Be at home while you're away from home. The Lodge is within walking distance to some fantastic restaurants and cafes. The cinema is also within walking distance. There are heaps of places to eat or you can picnic in the park which is just across the road with an off leash dog walking area leading to the beautiful botanic gardens and the Cobb and Co Museum. The Cafes overlooking Queen's Park have excellent menus, all day breakfast and high teas. Backpackers are welcome.
