The property is beautifully located on a quiet, private, 8 hectares of regenerating hill country forest, avocado and house orchard. The mornings and evenings are special, with extraordinary skies, moonrises, sunsets, sunrises, and starry, starry nights. Wander around the property. Meditate. Visit the geese and the stringybarks. It is a place to be, and as a base to explore the pleasures of Hawke's Bay. Pop down to the local beaches and rivers, and then home to the tranquility of the afternoon sun on the wide veranda. There are greens in the garden, flowers and bees and birdsong. All of the cultural and cuisine attractions of the Hawke's Bay are within 15 to 40 minutes drive.
The house is open plan living downstairs, with French windows and doors onto the spacious sunny veranda. Large double bedrooms on the mezzanine. Timber floors, aged wooden shabby-chic furniture, antique coloured-glass windows, simple kitchen, large shower and claw foot bath.
This is simple living at its best - power is off grid, Spark portable hotspot works excellently, or choose to be wifi-free.
