A main feature within the town of Murtoa is the impressive 1890s avenues of sugar gum trees around most of the lake. There is a playground, BBQs, Rotunda and large lawned areas within walking distance of the home, Rabl park immediately to the North of Lake Marma as well as a series of waterways and ponds with attractive treed surrounds. This town also incorporates a Skate Park, playground, the 1896 Railway's walking bridge and large grassed areas. Both Lakes are great fishing and recreational areas, with a boat ramp, picnic areas, abundant birdlife and pleasant walking tracks. The town of Murtoa is also only a short distance from many other family attractions, such as a 15 minute drive to Horsham where you can visit the Horsham Regional Art Gallery or you could even drive another 20 minutes to the Grampians and enjoy a memorable 4WD experience.
