Visit the local museum to catch up on the history - Bluff is the oldest continuously inhabited European settlement, The local beach is a few minutes walk from the cottage - children love finding paua shells and exploring the rockpools, Just 20 minutes drive north is the white sandy beach at Omaui, Invercargill is also a 20 minute drive and the place for all the main shops and city attractions - cinema, parks, splash palace swimming pool. Make a day trip to Curio Bay to see the penguins,
And Cabbage Tree cottage is a relaxing place to come home to just enjoy - to sit out on the deck and listen to the tuis and bellbirds in the trees. There's a piano to make your own music too.
The house is safe for toddlers but you must keep the deck gates closed.
