We live in Waltham, MA right off I-95/Route 128. We have plenty of off street parking, a large friendly house and a huge garden with a pond. We love having "guests" from all over the world and we love to travel ourselves. My name is Bette and I am an artist and an expressive/art therapist who works full time with families in crisis who have children with significant mental health issues. In my past life I was an architect. I love to read, paint, putter in my garden, sew, knit and create things in general. My husband, Tim, is a social worker and has a psychotherapy practice in our home. He is also a singer, a writer of children's books, an actor and a lover of sports. We have a daughter who is 18 years old and in the 12th grade. She loves horse back riding, martial arts, singing, music and movies. We live in Waltham, MA - a very short distance from Boston. There is a bus right in front of our house which goes to Cambridge but you can transfer and you can get anywhere quite easily. There is a commuter rail about a 15 minute walk from our house that will take you to downtown Boston in about 1/2 hour. There are a lot of good restaurants in Waltham. From our house, you can walk to the downtown area of Waltham: restaurants, the library, post office, coffee shops, grocery store, drug store, movie theater, etc. Boston is a lovely small city that has everything a city has to offer - history, art, music, shopping, food, theater, sports, etc. We are in the heart of New England! We have two rooms available on the first floor that share a bathroom. You can book the rooms individually or as a suite. Each room has a bed, desk, dresser, closet, lamps, chair, Keurig coffee maker, small refrigerator, microwave, etc. My husband, daughter and I live on the second floor. You have limited access to the kitchen which will be worked out on an individual basis. We have wireless internet and a washing machine and dryer that you can use.
