Great Location, Greater Roommates: 1 Bedroom Available Near U Street
This pains me to write, but I will be leaving what is quite possibly the best living situation I've encountered after living in five cities/four states to take a new job out of District. My loss is your gain. Summary: One bedroom with large closet and shared bath available in a 3 bed/2.5 bath townhouse located near the hustle and bustle of U and 14th Streets. The Neighborhood: House is close to some of DC's greatest bars, restaurants, concert venues, clubs, and parks. House favorites within a short walk include Trader Joe's, Yes! Organic Market, Quarter+Glory, Vinoteca, Solly's, 9:30 Club, and Atlantic Plumbing. U Street Metro is one block away. Logan Circle, Adams Morgan, Dupont, Columbia Heights all a quick stroll. The House: Modern townhouse with stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, balcony, and just about everything else you'll need to enjoy your time in DC. On-street parking available (Zone A). Per lease, no pets allowed. House is kept clean with the expectation that all roommates pitch in on occasional chores. The house is relatively quiet during the week but eases up come weekend. Not the type of home that is Party Central all the time but has been known to host an occasional larger gathering of close friends. Your Roommates: Two of the greatest guys I've ever had the pleasure of living with. Both are social 30 year old straight (and gay-friendly) males who work in IT and defense contracting and keep the typical DC 9-6 work schedule. General hobbies include drinking socially, staying active, live music, movie-watching, and exploring the bars up and down U/14th Streets. Furniture: The house is entirely furnished except for your bedroom. Should you like, we can negotiate a reasonable price for my bedroom furniture (queen-size mattress, bed frame, box spring, desk, mirror, book shelf, and large carpet). This makes the bedroom and house turn-key ready. Deets: Flexible move-in date anytime between Oct. 20 and Nov. 1. Rent will be 1/3 of all utilities (usually around $100 for your share). The lease runs through May 2018. After this, the landlord may sell the townhome, but this is currently still uncertain. Due at Signing: October pro-rated rent (if applicable), November rent and a security deposit. The lease will then be reassigned to include your name.
