With a pared-back palette and fashionable furnishings, Berners Street III is quietly cool. You’ll find plenty of sophisticated touches here – from the oak floors and wide windows to the high ceilings and state-of-the-art lighting. Taking the lift to the third floor of this Art Deco building, you’ll find the home’s office first on the right. As well as a little desk, there’s a pocket-sprung sofabed (flanked by two gold tripod lamps) and a bathroom next door. Opposite is the peaceful master bedroom, which has stone-coloured walls, a king-size bed and a few eye-catching silver accessories. The door here takes you through to a splendid ensuite – marble and mirrors, with a bathtub and a separate shower.
Next, the hallway leads past a (fittingly smart) toilet room and along to the open-plan living area. At the near end there’s a kitchen area, with mirrored splashbacks, a sleek breakfast bar and, just beyond it, a glass-topped dining table for four. At the far end is a sitting area, where an elegant sofa and armchair sit beneath a row of abstract artworks.
