Art of noise
Both contemporary and traditional, this musical home has a special time signature. At street level, the front door leads directly into the sitting room, with an ornate corniced ceiling. Statement speakers face a collection of keyboards and guitars, and brightly cushioned sofas are a counterpoint to the gilt overmantel mirror and retro rotary telephones on the curved antique sideboard. The rest of this home is on the lower ground floor.
Straight ahead, there’s a breakfast bar for two and dining table for four in the kitchen, which has its own gilded mirror and pair of globe-shaped speakers. The bathroom is on the left, and next door you’ll find two Murphy single beds in the office, lined with books and CDs. At the end of the hallway, the master bedroom has a king-size bed, a neutral ensuite and doors which open to the patio.
