A new era
Zesty details bring this classic home right up-to-date. The front door opens into a sitting area, which has a sofa, a leather armchair and well-stocked bookshelves. Just past that there’s a dining area, where there’s a country-style table and dresser and a retro globe bar. And then at the far end of the open-plan living area you’ll find the kitchen – super-simple, but for its geometric floor tiles. To the right of that, doors open into the pretty little garden.
Then up on the first floor there’s the ensuite master bedroom, full of vintage artworks and accessories. Opposite that is the main bathroom (where there’s a roll-top bath with an integrated shower), and then it’s up again to the second bedroom. Slope-ceilinged, with one exposed brick wall and a neon bedside lamp, this final room’s just as characterful as the rest.
