On a Bloomsbury street near the British Museum, Handel Street II is cool and characterful. Begin in the sleek entrance hallway, and to the right you’ll find the pared-back master bedroom. Cream wall-mounted lamps hang above retro bedside tables, and at the foot of the double bed, a mirror stands on an ornamental fireplace. Straight ahead, the sitting room is more contemporary, from the white-painted rafters to the designer grey swivel chair and footstool.
A Keep Calm and Carry On poster and bright-red cushions strike a very colourful note, and two can dine at the drop-leaf table, next to a long leather sofa. Off the sitting room, the kitchen is composed of white cabinets and a gold mirrored splashback. Just as eye-catching is the bathroom-cum-wetroom, on the right, which has a tiled floor and a blue walk-in shower.
