Attention to detail
From the characterful kitchen to the inviting sitting room, every aspect of this South Kensington home is cool and considered. Stepping through into the main living space, the first detail you’ll notice is the exquisite wooden doors (imported from Zanzibar by the host). The sitting room itself has a variety of rich materials, with polished floorboards and leather seating. Next, you’ll come to the dining room, which has a floor-to-ceiling bookcase and a dining table created from an old industrial spool. Dark wooden work surfaces and a Belfast sink give the kitchen a country feel.
Up the spiral staircase in the sitting room, you’ll find the master bedroom, which has a super-king bed, an ensuite bathroom and a patterned feature wall. There are two more bedrooms up here (one with slate-grey walls, the other painted lilac), and a stylish bathroom with subway tiling.
