This home is at 8A Sawyers Way in the heart of New Plymouth close to the coastal walkway leading to the port, swimming and surf beaches, bars, cafes and night life. The walkway is also a excellent bike ride, bring your own or hire from Chaddys Charters, Wind Wanderers etc and kayaks can be hired for Ngamotu Beach. New Plymouths Pukekura Park is renowned for the summer Festival of Lights and entertainment, particularly at the Bowl of Brooklands which hosts concerts such as the world class WOMAD.
New Plymouth has spectacular gardens and is only a short drive to Tupare, Pukeiti(Rhododendrons) and Pukekuras under glass Fernery is well worth a visit. The nearby harbour provides ample opportunity for fishing enthusiasts on the breakwater and for those who want to venture further past the Sugar Loaf Isles there are plenty of fishing charters available.
There are spectacular views of New Plymouth from Paritutu Rock near the port and for the more adventurous North Egmont Visitors Centre is a must and is only a half an hours drive away.
All this information and more can be obtained from the Pukeariki Museum I-site which is 15 minutes walk or a short drive to the city centre whilst in the opposite direction Chaddys Museum is not to be missed and a special lifeboat trip round the islands to see the seal colony is amazing.
Also enjoy the recently opened Len Lye Art Centre opposite the clock tower.
