The room is spacious and there is plenty of space to relax even with the king bed and dresser and side table. (For families with children there is an extra bedroom (additional fee) available with a queen bed and a couch in the formal living room to crash on as well. A family with up to 3 children could be quite comfortable.) Roomy personal bathroom complete with custom walk in shower and built in bench. The kitchen is open to use, not to worry I have plenty of cooking tools for from scratch cooking. The formal living and family room is available to help you relax, we ask that you don't use the family room or the fenced back yard unless we are home. This space is where our pets live and they may never let you leave the house once you start to pet them. Interaction with us can be as much or as little as you like. We live in the home and will be available most of the time to help with directions or suggestions. Personally, we enjoy coffee on the side porch in the mornings or sitting on the bench in the quiet front yard in the afternoon. You are welcome to join us! If you choose to order one of my home cooked evening meals and something is needed out of the garden you can help pick it, join in the preparation or just relax with your feet up. I love our quiet neighborhood. There are cows sometimes across the street. Sometimes deer, turkey, possum or raccoon can be seen out the front yard. Birds and squirrels are often seen as well. If you are one that likes to relax by taking a walk or going for a run, it is safe to do here. If you go right there is a low to no traffic road that will take you to Historic Route 66 that round trip is a 3 mile walk. If you go the other way there is an easier 1.5 mile round trip on a low traffic road. There are 3 nearby abandoned towns within 10 miles of us on Historic Route 66 that would be fun to visit. Out here there is no public transit. If you are planning to arrive in the area by plane and spend time in the area, I suggest you rent a car. We are an easy 15 min drive from the airport. Springfield offers the University Plaza Convention Center, Hammons Double A baseball park, Juanita K Hammons Performing Arts Hall, 4 Universities, 3 hospitals, and home of the original Bass Pro. Branson is an easy hour drive to Silver Dollar City, Shows and Shopping outlets.
