Room rentals: Looking for two new roommates for a Columbia Heights row house. The available rooms are the master bedroom with its own private bathroom. The room is comparable in size to almost any efficiency/studio in the Washington, DC area. The room alone is 500 square feet. If you are willing to share, the room can comfortably fit two people. The private bathroom has a large jacuzzi/whirlpool tub and shelved storage space. The middle room is almost the same size and the master bed room but it is 400 square feet and the bathroom is a shared one for this space. The home is 3100 square feet in size with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and includes a laundry room with a washer/dryer. The common areas are lightly furnished with couches and dining tables and the kitchen has a microwave, dishwasher, and toaster. Short term rentals are possible. Price is negotiable. The room is unfurnished but might be furnished for an extra cost. Students wanting to pay for the semester are welcome. Utilities (gas, electric, water) are not included and range between 65-80 per month. You're welcome to have your own internet/cable installed with Comcast or Verizon, or split with a current roommate. The same terms apply to the middle room with the lower rent. The location: Georgia Avenue-Petworth & Columbia Heights Metro stops (Green & Yellow lines) are both 4 blocks away (you are literally in-between both stations). DC USA Shopping Center is 4 blocks away (Target, Best Buy, Marshalls, Washington Sports Club, Vitamin Store and more). Both Giant Food and Safeway are within walking distance, 3 and 5 blocks respectively. You will have countless cafe's, restaurants, bars and nightlife to choose from: Starbucks, Heat Da Spot Cafe, Coffy Cafe, Chipotle, &Pizza, El Chucho, RedRocks, Meridian Pint, DC Reynolds, Room 11, Zeba Bar, The Wonderland Ballroom, and much more. Roommates: Current roommates include a working 9 to 5 professional. He mostly keeps to himself due to schedules. Occasionally he has friends over for a couple drinks, dinner, or game-nights. To be considered as a tenant you will have to complete an online application through TransUnion that includes a background and credit history check. Common sense explanations are accepted for any background and credit issues. You will also have to talk with the current roommates to make sure there is a fit there.
