The Escape Hatch at Red Rock

Whole unit
Private bath
Mixed household

The Escape Hatch offers you the opportunity to unwind and relax by the beach. Or perhaps you'd prefer to kayak up the Corindi River and try your luck fishing? All of this just is a short walk from the cottage. Red Rock is a small, friendly village surrounded by National Park with its own surf beach (patrolled in school holidays), a smaller more gentle beach just inside the headland and the estuary. The cottage has been recently renovated and offers a new kitchen and bathroom. It sleeps 6 in two queen beds and 2 single beds. Sleep with the windows open and listen to the waves! The front deck, with a north-easterly aspect, has a view down to the estuary so you can watch the tides come and go. This is a great spot for breakfast and watching the great variety of birdlife. The new deck at the rear of the property offers a spacious, comfortable and private spot for a barbecue or to relax with a book. There's a selection of games, books and DVDs to use, just in case it's not beach weather. Decorated with a retro feel, in keeping with the age of the house, the aim is to inspire memories of beach holidays and simple times. The new kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and the house is close to the Bowling Club for "refreshments" or a Chinese meal and just a short walk to the Red Rock Shop for a hamburger or fish & chips - if you haven't caught your own. Features of The Escape Hatch The new kitchen features a Smeg oven and microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, fry pan, sandwich press and enough tea, coffee, condiments and spreads to get you started. The bathroom has a new vanity and a new glass shower with a large rain shower head supplied with gas instantaneous hot water. There's also an outdoor shower for a rinse after the beach. The new rear deck has been furnished with comfort and convenience in mind - lots of cushions and different places to sit or lounge. The town of Woolgoolga is just 10 minutes down the road and it has a great little shopping centre, supermarket and of course, its own beaches, cafes and it also has regular markets. The bustling centre of Coffs Harbour is an easy half hour drive south and likewise Grafton is half an hour north. But perhaps the greatest feature of The Escape Hatch is Red Rock itself - you'll love it! Sorry, but no pets allowed. No Smoking No Parties, Schoolies, Buck's/Doe Shows, weddings or other gatherings. School holiday bookings commence on Saturdays, 7 night minimum stay.
