This historic landmark building was built in 1927 and originally known as Mendelson's Oakland Hotel. In the 1970's it was converted into two separate residences and the north half offers over 2200 square feet of sun soaked living space with four spacious bedrooms (two queen beds, one full bed and the fourth bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds) with two completely remodeled full baths. The Oakland North has been impeccably maintained and boasts all of the original architectural details of a bygone era including ten foot high ceilings, arched double hung windows with true divided lights, oak hardwood flooring on the entire first floor, stain grade mill work trim throughout with operable transom vents above the second floor bedroom doors. The feeling of the home is truly unique and feels as if you are in a historic turn of the century beach house. The finishes, fixtures and furnishings all add to the overall casual relaxed feeling and remind you that you are 'away from it all'!!! We tried to think of everything, for you.: The Oakland North is fully furnished with all bed and bath linens. The large kitchen has Frigidaire Gallery Series stainless steel appliances including a 22 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer with icemaker, free standing range with gas cook top and electric oven, Spacesaver microwave and programmable dishwasher. The kitchen also has an abundance of cooking utensils, pots, pans, toaster oven, coffee maker, etc. There is a dining table in the kitchen that seats six, a table in the great room that seats five and a table on the back deck that seats six. The first floor offers a spacious open floor plan which is great for relaxing and socializing.
