The first breath of sea air, when you step out of the car, is so invigorating and the beach is only 100 steps away with your own private access. It is semi-private as the property is set on 1 hectare of beachfront, with a safe swimming environment and beautiful, golden sand. Surrounded by native Banksia, extensive lawn area and garden, it is a bird’s haven, with a resident owl. Welcome to Uringah (Bird of the Sea), with a family history going back to 1897, a magical place.
Uringah is a set of 3 modern houses which are joined by a generous wooden deck. Each House has its own privacy with screens that separate the houses along the decking. Each house has its own unique features and is all filled with treasured memories from the original cottage which maintains the old world charm in the modern world.
Uringah 2 has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and can sleep up to 8 guests. You can relax on the outdoor banana lounge, read a book, catch some rays or just snooze. Even in winter it catches the sun with the northerly aspect. When you enter the open plan living area through the large, glass sliding doors bringing the beachy feel inside with you, it will leave you feeling relaxed.
If it’s a cold evening you can snuggle up on the couch in front of the log heater whilst sipping red wine from the region. Firewood is supplied. A split system is installed to help maintain a comfortable temperature inside if required as well as ceiling fans in the bedrooms. There are double glazed windows and venetian blinds as well as block out blinds throughout.
There are two seating areas which allow you to choose your own chill out zone. Kick back and relax on your favourite lounge and gaze at the gardens or simply watch a movie. There are plenty of board games available to challenge the family to a games night. Free NBN Wi-Fi is also available to you.
The open kitchen with breakfast bar creates a homely feel and allows you to easily prepare a meal with a great bench area, up right fan forced oven, glass cooktop and microwave. Although the best place to eat on a balmy night is outside on the deck after you have cooked up a feast on the barbeque.
The Master bedroom is upstairs and has a King-sized bed facing the most stunning filtered views of Westernport Bay. Enjoy the view from the comfort of your bed or sit on the private balcony. The ensuite is adjacent, with spacious shower, heat lamps, and large vanity with long mirror. The second bedroom has a Queen bed and King single bed. The third bedroom has a queen bed and single bed.
The real stunner of this house is the electric blue deep cast iron claw bath. Fill up the tub and soak your troubles away in this seaside oasis. Now is the time for you to get some rest and relaxation. We hope that you enjoy your stay and find some magic during your time here as many have over the lifetime of this wonderful land. If you are lucky you may even see the resident owl.
Security Deposit and Guest Information
Please note we will deduct $500 from your credit card 10 days prior to your arrival. This will then be returned upon inspection of the property after your departure. If we need to make a claim against your security deposit it covers an amount up to $1000, which may include but is not limited to the following:
Excess cleaning fees, Excess laundering fees (inc. sleeping directly on to doonas, pillows, mattresses), Dirty BBQ, Excess garbage removal, Damage or breakages at the property, Loss of keys or scanners and Late check-out.
Our rates are based on twin share. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed in advance. Please include all adults and children in your enquiry. If you have babies please advise their ages also.
Please note the property cannot accept guests under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a minimum of 2 adults, over the age of 25, present the whole stay. If this rule is breached, your security deposit will be forfeited and you may be evicted at any stage.
